Engineering review for a waste management SaaS

The situation

A waste management SaaS company wanted to know how well its engineering practices supported the application it sells, and where changing them would pay off.

The approach

The engagement ran in four steps:

1. Analysis. We reviewed the team’s current engineering practices: how work is planned, built, tested, reviewed, and released.
2. Findings. We identified the specific spots where those practices could improve.
3. Recommendation. We proposed an engineering approach that addresses those spots, fitted to the team and the product rather than a generic playbook.
4. Proof of concept. We built a proof of concept so the approach could be judged on working software, not on a slide deck.
